Dear John,
Just two weeks ago the House of Representatives passed the Build Back Better Act, an unprecedented effort to put climate at the heart of our economy and America’s recovery.
But what does this bill mean for the average American family? Savings — but only if it’s passed by the Senate.
We still need the Senate to support this bill and the key climate provisions within it! That’s where you come in: Will you help keep the momentum going?
Message your Senators today and tell them to vote yes on the Build Back Better Act.
If the Senate takes this monumental step of passing the Build Back Better Act, the U.S. is preparing to invest nearly half a trillion dollars in key climate investments — including efforts to modernize our electrical grid, transition to renewable energy and develop new clean technologies.
That means it will save utility customers and companies more than $9 billion dollars each year, through its clean energy incentives alone! Through targeted tax credits, and low cost financing options for utility companies, American households stand to save an average of $500 per year on their energy bills by 2030. That’s more than one-third of the typical annual American energy bill!
But it doesn’t stop there. The Build Back Better Act will not only make energy more affordable, it’ll make it cleaner than ever. From wind turbines and solar panels, this bill has critical incentives that will establish the U.S. as a global leader in clean energy — creating new, good-paying jobs in the process.
And we know investments like these work. Clean energy incentives from the 2009 Recovery Act lowered the cost of solar energy by 90% over a ten year period in addition to reducing the price of wind energy by 70%.
Today’s bill invests 5 times the amount into clean energy, just when we need it most.
America’s clean energy future can be built today! Contact your Senators and tell them that you support the Build Back Better Act.
Let’s build a better future,
