Let's build a green transport future
Hello
As we approach Christmas, I'm writing to thank you. This year, as lockdown eased and people began to move around more, you helped us to show the importance of sustainable transport. The Government agreed to invest in reopening more disused rail lines, and published an ambitious plan for better buses.
But there is much still to do. COP26 focused politicians' attention on climate change, but when it came to transport, they talked a lot about greener cars and planes, and little about the need to drive and fly less. Appallingly, the Government cut tax on domestic flights just days before COP26.
We need your help to change this. Every community needs good, affordable public transport, and the Government must become its biggest champion. And the greenest modes of all, walking and cycling, need proper support. Can you make a donation to our Christmas appeal and help build a truly green transport future?
