Global Citizen,

Did you know that 85% of women reported witnessing online violence, and nearly
40% have experienced it personally?*

Digital violence includes online harassment, demeaning slurs, abuse and
non-consensual use ofpersonal images
<[link removed]> in a sexual
context. Women, girls, members of the LGBTQ+ community are most likely to be
subjected to this form of violence. The aftermath is psychological and
emotional distress.

Due to the limited services made available to victims of digital abuse, UNFPA,
the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, has launched
bodyright, thefirst-ever copyright for human bodies.

Governments, tech companies, and social media platforms must acknowledge their
role in fighting online violence.

Support the #bodyright movement to demand change and accountability by adding
your voice tothis petition
