John, This could mark a turning point in the fight for the right to life. The U.S. Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments on a Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. And if the state of Mississippi wins, it would be the first time in the Roe v. Wade era that the court has upheld a 15-week abortion ban. We had a fantastic crowd outside of the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday for the "Empower Women, Promote Life" Rally. As a Co-Chair of the House Pro-Life Caucus, I appreciated the opportunity to speak about the importance of upholding Mississippi's right to protect its most vulnerable citizens. |
I pray the justices will do the right thing and uphold this law. Abortion is a stain on our nation, and this would be a huge step toward overturning Roe v. Wade. John, I’ll continue to do everything in my power to protect innocent life in Congress.
