xxxxxx,
Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in the Mississippi lawsuit that threatens to overturn Roe v. Wade and set women’s rights back by decades.
And, with the Court’s new conservative, hyper-partisan majority, they may actually do it.
If the Supreme Court overturns Roe, women’s access to reproductive care will fall to the states. And if we don’t win this race next year, there’s no doubt that the Georgia GOP will enact their anti-choice agenda, putting women’s rights and women’s lives at risk.
When Georgia Republicans introduced HB 146 — a bill that would all but ban abortion in our state — it was struck down by a district court. But, if the Supreme Court rules to overturn Roe, you can bet that they’ll come back with an anti-choice bill that’s ten times worse.
This isn’t a drill, y’all. The only way we can put a stop to the GOP’s anti-choice agenda is if we stand together, make our voices heard, and vote like our lives depend on it — because for far too many Georgians, they actually do.
With gratitude, Erick
