If you didn’t hear about it this week, I wanted to share something really special.

The House passed Abigail’s Public Disclosure of Drug Discounts Act with a vote of 403-0.

This is an enormous accomplishment. This bill would create a heightened level of transparency that would help patients better understand drug costs and help drive down those costs by making public pharmacy benefit managers – the middlemen between drug makers, insurers, and patients – report their aggregate rebates, discounts, and other price concessions for prescription drugs to a public website.

This is a step towards controlling drug costs for families in Central Virginia.

And here is the other thing: while pundits and naysayers are complaining about Washington partisanship and dysfunction, Abigail passed a bill with unanimous support.

Can you take a moment now and sign our petition to tell the Senate to take up this bill?
