Alexandra grew up in a household where both of her parents were teachers. It was an environment in which the notion of helping others, especially children, was a natural part of the rhythm of life. She attended the school where her parents worked, a place where all of the adults put the well-being of children at the center of their existence. Small wonder that as she grew up the welfare of children became a central part of her existence as well.
Alexandra’s desire to help others led her to spend school vacation time in places like Ghana, Ecuador, and the Lakota reservation in South Dakota. In virtually everything that she does, from her job as a cancer researcher to her time as a soccer coach, she looks for ways to help others, especially those who are usually overlooked.
Her run for Congress revolves around a similar quest for justice for those whose voices are often unheard. The job that she seeks may be national in scope and enormous in its responsibilities, but I can see that at the core of her campaign is that five-year-old girl seeking to help the children of Alabama.
It would mean the world to Alexandra if I helped out, so that's why I’m reaching out to ask if you can chip in $5 towards her campaign.
