John,
Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard arguments on a case that could overturn the precedent of Roe v. Wade and drastically reduce abortion access across the nation.
In the aftermath of the Trump presidency, women’s health and rights are under attack like never before. We’re seeing nationally and on a local level that a woman’s right to decide her own medical care is under attack.
This fight is personal to me. My husband and I tried to grow our family years ago and experienced a miscarriage. I was still producing the pregnancy hormone, so we were presented with two choices: surgery, or a shot that some consider a medical abortion. We chose the shot and I am here today because of great healthcare.
Laws that restrict abortion access are dangerous for all women — but they especially affect low-income women and women of color, who are more likely to be unable to access safe abortions when bans like this are put in place. And thanks to Republicans like Don Bacon undermining reproductive rights at every opportunity, abortion access is now under serious threat.

If we don’t have people in Congress who understand they need to fight for this every day, we could lose it. I am ready to be a champion for reproductive justice, and I am so proud to have been endorsed by EMILY’s List in recognition of my commitment to this crucial work.
If you are able, please consider contributing to my campaign today to ensure that I can flip this seat blue and protect the bodily autonomy and privacy of women in Nebraska and across the nation.
