Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in a case concerning
Mississippi’s dangerous abortion ban. This cruel law represents the
biggest threat to Roe v. Wade in nearly 50 years.
This is personal for me and millions of people across America. I’m not
only a Congresswoman, the chair of the Progressive Caucus, and a dedicated
member of the Pro-Choice Caucus. I’m not only an organizer who knows that
reproductive rights are human rights. I’m also one of the one in four
women in America who has had an abortion.
Inaction is not an option right now. We must fight back. That begins by
ending the filibuster and passing the Women’s Health Protection Act
through the Senate — so we can codify Roe v. Wade into law once and for
all. [ [link removed] ]Can you chip in $3 to fuel my fight to end the
filibuster and protect reproductive freedom nationwide?

For me, terminating my pregnancy was not an easy choice — but it was MY
choice. Because of the cruel Mississippi abortion ban and the other
abortion bans currently being litigated, many people may not have the same
choice as I did.
It is
nobody’s business what choices we as pregnant people make about our own
bodies. This is a constitutionally protected, intensely personal choice
about control of our own bodies. And the consequences of that choice are
ones that only WE will have to live with.
We must organize for reproductive justice as we protest against these
cruel bans in Mississippi, Texas, and too many other states. That’s why I
was so proud to help pass the Women’s Health Protection Act through the
House earlier this year so we can combat these attacks. Now, it’s time to
END the filibuster and pass this critical legislation through the Senate.
It truly can’t wait.
[ [link removed] ]Chip in $3 or anything you can to support my work to end
the filibuster and prorect abortion rights across the country. Time is
running out to stop these cruel bans.
Thank you for joining me. It really makes a
difference.
In solidarity,
Pramila
