In addition to having a 100% rating from the Human Rights Campaign and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Yvette has:

• Voted against legislation that would place restrictions on abortion rights, such as the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act
• Sponsored the PAWS Act, which became law and implemented a program providing therapy dogs to veterans struggling with mental health issues
• Co-founded the Congressional Task Force on Black Women and Girls to tackle the issues Black women disproportionately face, including safety and economic opportunities
• Continued to fight for long-term progressive goals, including the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and the Equality Act
• Serves as a co-chair of the House Haiti Caucus, advocating for the country and the Haitian diaspora
