Why are we focusing on #FreeIDsForVets in 2022? Because of veterans like Mark.



Mark is a homeless Navy veteran in his 60's who returned to Florida this year seeking better veteran services and housing options. Without a Florida ID, Mark couldn't get a Patriot Pass bus card (to make it easier to get around to look for housing) or apply for food stamps. Mark told us that he immediately went to get his Patriot Pass after getting his ID. He also wasted no time in getting a library card and checking out some books. 

Without the help of our colleagues at Spread The Vote, Mark likely would have been stuck. Navigating the DMV bureaucracy is often intimidating, on top of being expensive.
