Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard arguments to overturn Roe v. Wade -- a nearly half-century-old ruling that established our constitutional right to reproductive freedom.

I joined thousands of people on the Court steps to make our voices heard: Abortion care is health care. Reproductive rights must be protected. These are fundamental rights.

This past year, laws banning access to women’s healthcare has skyrocketed -- including the infamous Texas “heartbeat” bill S.B. 8 -- and now it is facing its ultimate test in the Supreme Court.

These backwards laws do nothing to prevent abortion. Instead, they increase unsafe abortion practices that put people’s lives in grave danger. We cannot go back to the deadly days before Roe v. Wade, John.

From my time serving Virginians in the House of Delegates to my campaign for Governor to now, I’ve fought to protect reproductive care -- from birth control and contraception access to abortion. And today, I need you to join me.
