This week, Mississippi is asking the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, threatening almost five decades of precedent protecting the right to a safe and legal abortion.

Republicans have been plotting this move for years: Pack the Supreme Court with right-wing justices, pass unconstitutional abortion-ban bills in Republican-held states like Mississippi, challenge Roe in the highest court, and establish a harmful far-right agenda that would persist even after they leave office.

Now, they’re dangerously close to wiping out abortion access for people across the nation.

We can’t stay silent and allow Republicans to topple Roe and put the health and safety of millions at grave risk. That’s why I introduced the Women’s Health Protection Act this summer — legislation to finally protect the right to abortion by federal law, no matter what the Court decides. And it’s why I’m fighting every day to get it on President Biden’s desk.
