Folks,

Last month, it looked like the GOP had taken the House of Delegates by a 52-48 margin. Then it became clear that there were two races in Virginia Beach, HD-85 and HD-91, that were close enough to request a recount. The recount in HD-85 began this morning.

We have less than 48 hours to make sure that every vote is counted in the 85th and that’s why we’re asking for your support yet again. We need to fund these recount efforts so we can bring control of the House to a 50-50 split, but we need your help to do it.

The General Assembly is the last line of defense against the Youngkin Administration’s radical right-wing plans for Virginia and we need as many Democrats in our legislature as we can get to hold Glenn Youngkin accountable and prevent him from implementing as much of his radical agenda as possible.

Youngkin and his administration are ready to “go on offense” to ban abortion and repeal all of the progress we’ve made over the last few years, and if his Republican allies win these last two House seats there won’t be anything stopping them.

This is one of the most important recount efforts in Virginia history and we need to make sure we have the funds to do this right. Can we count on you to chip in to our House Recount Fund right now to help us protect the House of Delegates?
