Subject: BREAKING: Legislators gerrymandered your community. We'll see them in court!
To: John xxxxxx <[email protected]>
John, Tuesday we acted on your behalf to stop legislators' gerrymandered maps from being used in next year's election. Their political games harm Black voters' ability to fight the pollution and climate impacts that disproportionately threaten them. And it stifles our effort to advocate for those communities and for every North Carolinian's right to clean air, clean water, and clean energy. So we're taking legislators on. And taking them to court. Every voter deserves equal freedom to elect leaders who share their values and who represent their community. Without a healthy democracy, we can't have a healthy environment. We presented the court with computer-drawn maps that uphold our constitution without partisan bias. If we win, the court can order those maps to be used next year and beyond. Help us stop pro-polluter politicians from rigging the maps and stacking the deck in polluters' favor to keep themselves in power. Help us take power back for polluters' victims! Chip in a gift of $50 or $25 so we can win this battle and elect environmental champions next year »
