John,
Yesterday the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a case that could determine the fate of Roe v. Wade. The case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, is a challenge to Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban, and the state of Mississippi has explicitly asked the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
We aren't expecting the Supreme Court to make a decision for a few more weeks, but news outlets are already predicting the Court will rule to uphold Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban. That would erase nearly 50 years of precedent and put abortion access at risk across the country.
Yesterday, I stood outside the Supreme Court with others to defend our rights. I'm not waiting around, holding my breath, or hoping for the Court to make the right decision: I'm fighting back, and I hope you'll join me.
This is a crisis point. Will you demand the Senate take immediate action to codify Roe v. Wade into law? Sign on right away as a citizen co-sponsor of the Women's Health Protection Act >>

I strongly believe that every single person, regardless of where they live, deserves access to reproductive health care. That's why I proudly serve as co-chair of the Pro-Choice Caucus in the House, and it's why I won't rest until we've written abortion protections into federal law.
We all have a part to play in this fight. We need to show up and raise our voices louder than ever before.
The right to choose is hanging by a thread, John. I need you with me in this fight, so add your name today and raise your voice whenever you can to defend reproductive freedom.

Thank you,
Diana
