In addition to investments in the clean energy sector that will create high-paying union jobs, the Build Back Better Act provides for tangible action to halve carbon emissions by 2030 (3). The BBBA also prioritizes equity and community development, making strides towards ending environmental racism.
We asked for bold and transformative climate action, and the House is prepared to deliver it with the Build Back Better Act. With 550 billion dollars earmarked for climate action, the BBBA would be the largest climate investment ever. (Seriously! Again, the largest ever!) Now, we need our senators to do their part. Let them know climate action must be a priority!
We’ve never been so close to achieving climate justice. We can’t afford to let this moment slip away.
