Leaf collection pile
Final leaf collection continues
The Village of Oswego has extended leaf collection beginning Nov. 29 with a final pass through the community. Crews will be working this week, and expected to conclude collection no later than next week. Once crews move through an area, they will not return for another collection. Public Works must conclude leaf collection to provide adequate time to prepare equipment for snow plow operations. The same trucks used for leaf collection are converted to spread salt and plow snow to keep streets safe in the the event of inclement weather.?
Leaves are also beneficial for lawns, plant beds and around trees and shrubs as a more environmentally friendly approach to disposal. For complete details on the Village's leaf collection program, including alternative disposal methods, visit www.oswegoil.org/leaves [ [link removed] ]
