While the Trump administration attacks the rights of transgender
people to safe and fair housing, we're taking the fight to
Congress-and you can help!

As the Trump administration escalates its attacks on trans people,
Harper Jean Tobin-NCTE's Director of
Policy-testified before Congress about the critical importance
of housing protections for transgender people. We addressed the
widespread prejudice and bias faced by transgender people in housing,
lending, and access to shelter programs.

We know that one in three transgender people has experienced
homelessness in their lifetime and one in eight has experienced it in
the last year. Despite this well-documented crisis, the Trump
administration is preparing to allow shelters to discriminate against
trans people while receiving taxpayer dollars. 

Call your Representatives and tell them to vote for the Ensuring Equal
Access to Shelter Act, which would prevent Trump from letting shelters
turn away trans people with taxpayer dollars!
