Before we get into yesterday’s hearing in the Supreme Court, we wanted to say thank you for helping us hit our November goal! With a huge month ahead in the Senate, you’ve given us the resources to hit the ground running, and that work continues right now.

Yesterday morning, the Supreme Court heard arguments on a Mississippi law directly challenging the precedent set by Roe v. Wade, and one of the biggest threats to abortion rights the country has faced in decades.

The Mississippi law would make most abortions illegal after 15 weeks of pregnancy, and if they rule in favor of Mississippi, it will effectively overturn Roe and pave the way for other Republican-led states to pass extreme restrictions on reproductive rights.

The Supreme Court won’t make a decision for the next several months, so now is the time to act. Ben Ray is a co-sponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021, which would codify Roe and protect abortion rights and healthcare providers.

We need a groundswell of grassroots support to get this bill passed. Add your name to demand that Congress pass the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021 and protect reproductive freedom for all.

Restricting access to abortion directly impacts communities of color and low-income individuals, and would be a monumental step backwards in the fight for safe and accessible reproductive health care services for all. Our time is running out, and we must act now.

Thank you for standing up today,

Team Ben Ray
