It's tempting for freedom evangelists to want to just run around shouting FREEDOM! at everyone. Unfortunately that doesn't work.
We live in a country where most people already believe they live in the freest country in the world. We've been groomed since we were children to believe that the government is the source of that freedom. Offering freedom to Americans is like selling the proverbial ice to an Eskimo.
Instead, we need to show people how they aren't free. But we can't just point out all the things that they can't do that they'd never want to. Why would they support a platform that gets things for other people. Instead, we have to focus on the benefit for them. How do we make their lives more free?
The old two parties have literally spent billions figuring out what kind of offers they can bait their support base with. The good news is that we can see what they found for free. And we can leverage that to change the direction of the conversation towards freedom.
Bernie Sanders has been promoting a narrative that the greedy corporations have been robbing us on the cost of medication. He's spent millions making sure people are aware of this problem. Those people are primed and ready for medical freedom. All we have to do is show them a better solution. Prove to them that government is the linchpin holding this ripoff together, and they'll demand an end to these oppressive government programs.
It really is that easy.
But unlike policies that create more oppressive programs, this won't get funded by big corporations. They know it will hurt their profits. Instead, we have to work together. We have to organize. We have to deliver this message to the masses. We have to be smart with our money and use direct, targeted advertising.
When we shift the minds of the public, they will demand different from their government. This is the first step in winning more freedom.
We can't play by the delusion that somehow if we just say "freedom" loud enough, we'll get elected. We can't plan on winning without a real strategy. We need to use this winning formula. It's been tested and proven on a small scale, and on larger scales throughout adversary commercial and political campaigns.
