Today, I've been added as an ex-officio member of the House Congressional Redistricting Committee.

We're going to be workshopping two staff drawn maps ( 8001 [[link removed]] ) and ( 8003 [[link removed]] ).

I can already tell you, I have questions about why they are trying to say that Tampa and St. Pete are essentially one community and why strawberry fields in Wimauma are getting lumped in with inner-city neighborhoods by Raymond James Stadium. This makes no sense to me...

But this is important and it's all on the line.

These maps will define all our politics for the next 10-years. Everything from abortion access, healthcare affordability, and education opportunities depends on these lines and getting things right.

"YOU should choose your elected officials, not politicians choosing their voters."

We have a constitutional amendment that requires fair districts. I will demand a fair and transparent process.

You can tune into today's meeting at 1pm on the Florida Channel. [link removed] [[link removed]]
