The UK is nowhere near meeting its greenhouse gas reduction targets. This was today’s stark warning from its own official advisors [1].

But the government’s not listening. It’s still supporting climate-wrecking fossil fuels – worsening a deadly crisis that already threatens lives and livelihoods across the globe.

This week our Big Give Christmas Challenge aims to raise £140,000 to fight back against disaster. But we’re still £37,000 short of our target. Can you help us get there?

Boris Johnson declared COP26 a historic success. But the talks failed to deliver the bold action needed to slow climate breakdown.

How can we call this a triumph when the world’s still heading towards deadly temperature rises of over 1.5°C?

And at the same time as wildly overstating its success in Glasgow, the UK government is still supporting fossil fuel projects. Oil drilling off the Scottish coast. A potential coal mine in Cumbria. A massive gas project in Mozambique.
