The House has passed the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), which would protect the right to access abortion care free from medically unnecessary restrictions and bans. Now, it’s time for the Senate to act.
Tell Your Senators to Protect Abortion Access NOW
John – Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Jackson Women’s Health Organization v. Dobbs, a case challenging an unconstitutional abortion ban in Mississippi and a direct threat to Roe v. Wade. Should Roe be overturned, 26 states are likely to ban abortion.
At this pivotal moment in our country, we must demand that our Senators pass WHPA immediately to provide critically needed federal protections of abortion care throughout the US.
If signed into law, this bill would provide the tools necessary to undo abortion restrictions – like Texas Senate Bill 8 which remains in effect today – and prevent other states from enacting similar restrictions.
Send a message to your Senators today urging them to support and vote on the Women's Health Protection Act.
We must continue to work toward a future where no matter where we live, we are able to access the care we need and deserve.
Thanks for being with us in this moment. We appreciate all you do!
Sincerely,
MiQuel Davies, JD (she/her)
