John, Omicron. The name of the new COVID-19 variant that could set us back to square one in the fight against the pandemic. I know many of us are not surprised. Mutations thrive in populations where the virus is able to spread unhindered. By hoarding vaccines and leaving others unvaccinated, rich countries have created the perfect recipe for variants. We're all fed up with COVID-19 and want to get on with our lives. To escape this endless cycle of variants, boosters, and restrictions, everyone must have equal access to vaccines - wherever they live in the world. John, will you sign our petition urging President Biden and other global leaders to vaccinate the world and end this pandemic for good?

Over the past few months, President Biden and other global leaders have increased their commitments to sharing vaccines with other countries around the world. This is great progress, but most of these critical vaccines have yet to be delivered to the people who need them most. While rich countries are delivering booster shots and closing borders again, only 3% of people living in low income countries are fully vaccinated. Right now, rich nations are discussing a coordinated response to the Omicron variant. Let’s remind them that variants don’t know borders and the only way to end the pandemic is to make vaccines available everywhere. We want 2022 to be the year when we wave goodbye to COVID-19 for good. Together, we can make that happen. Ask President Biden and other leaders to do what it takes to end the pandemic once and for all:
