Hi there, 

This month, we’ve been inundated with requests for support. I could go into detail about every heartbreaking story - so many families that never expected to be in a position to have to ask for help before the pandemic started. But I’ll just share just one with you today in the hope that you’ll be able to help them and the others on our waitlist. 
 
A Tasmanian couple have a 2 year old son who was diagnosed with cancer earlier in the year. He and his mum had to travel to Victoria for life saving treatment. She was pregnant at the time and thought it would just be a short stay. But COVID had other plans - and so did the baby. This woman gave birth locally six weeks early and has now been apart from her husband for five months. Can you imagine how stressful this has been? Thankfully they have some family here that have been able to provide support, love and a place to stay. But finances are incredibly tight and mum was not at all prepared for the baby's arrival. This was never the plan. 
 
Can you please make a donation to our Christmas Appeal today and show this family you care? We can provide the essentials they need for their baby and two year old. 

Thankfully Dad is now able to travel across to Victoria and they have decided to relocate here permanently given the treatment their son needs is only available in Melbourne. But this move also comes at a cost.  With your support we can  help them set up their new home and make life just a little bit easier at this really challenging time. Your donation today will give them the Christmas gift they really need - help and support. 
 
Every year in November and December, the need for essential items always exceeds the stock we have. That’s without the stress of a global pandemic. This year we have people turning to us who never thought they would have to. With your support, we can provide the nursery equipment they so desperately need to provide a safe environment for their child.
