Hi John, we have news about Abby's campaign to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA): We hit our November fundraising goal. For all of you who chipped in, thank you so much for your support.

But we have a very important update: At the end of this month, we will have to publicly report our fundraising numbers to the FEC for the fourth and final quarter of the year. It will be a major test of the strength of our campaign – particularly since the Senate GOP campaign arm is already sitting on nearly $30 million in the bank, and they’re actively attacking Abby. The political pundits and national Republicans will be watching closely to see what this team is capable of.

That’s why hitting November’s fundraising goal – and every single grassroots goal we set – was so important. Every single dollar matters immensely in this Senate race, which the Des Moines Register has called a “marquee matchup.” So we already have a challenge: To stay on track with where we need to be before the most important FEC deadline of the year, we need another 150 grassroots contributions before midnight tonight.

We know we ask a lot of you, John, but it’s because the momentum is on our side. Recent polling numbers show Sen. Grassley is at his lowest approval rating in decades, and expert pollster J. Ann Selzer has said he’s weak. Going toe to toe with Sen. Grassley, and his backers Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump, will take a massive surge in grassroots support. So please, to stay on track ahead of our FEC deadline, can Abby count on your donation of $$5 – or whatever you can spare – to win in Iowa and protect our Senate majority?
