After making history in 2018 as the first Black woman in our country’s history to win the gubernatorial nomination for a major party, the Georgia GOP doubled down on voter suppression—and still, Stacey Abrams came within just 2 points of defeating Republican Gov. Brian Kemp.

Since then, Stacey has been fighting tirelessly for free and fair elections—registering nearly a million voters and ensuring every voice is heard at the ballot box. John, we have her to thank for flipping Georgia blue in 2020 and helping deliver the Senate AND White House for Democrats.

But all the while, Kemp and the GOP have been purging voter rolls and suppressing voting rights at every opportunity, especially for voters of color. Their shameless tactics worked once before, and they know that’s their best chance at clinging to power in November.
