Today the Supreme Court heard arguments regarding a Mississippi abortion law that threatens Roe v. Wade. 

Roe v. Wade established the right to access abortion care nationwide. Mississippi’s law challenges Roe by banning abortions at 15 weeks. If the court sides with Mississippi this could effectively reverse Roe and put the reproductive freedom of millions at risk.

I co-sponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, because I believe the right to access safe abortion care should not depend on what state you live in. As the attacks against abortion rights continue, it becomes more critical that Roe is enshrined into law and we protect access to abortion care. Time is working against us here, so the more grassroots support I can show for protecting reproductive freedom the better.
