Hi, John – it's Hilary, Gov. Lujan Grisham's campaign manager.

Our finance team just told me some pretty alarming news, so I had to reach out to you right away: We're still short of our $150,000 goal, and we only have a few days left before a three-month fundraising blackout.

I can't overstate how important it is for us to reach this goal tonight. Missing it means that we'll have to make some tough budget cuts, like cutting ad buys, slashing some canvassing dates, or cancelling phone-banking sessions – all of which could make a meaningful difference in this race.

To be frank, this election is just too important to cut ANY of our voter outreach programs. Everything from voting rights to reproductive health care is on the line here, so we really have to put our nose to the grindstone to elect Democrats down the ballot to defend New Mexico from the GOP.

I know we're reaching out a lot, but these last few days before our fundraising blackout are so important. Please, if you have $5 to give, will you donate to our campaign right now?

Gov. Lujan Grisham is counting on you, so please rush $5 right now to help us keep New Mexico blue.

Our whole team really appreciates your grassroots support. Thanks for believing in this movement.

Hilary
