Friend,

Earlier today, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.

We won't mince words: this is one of the most consequential reproductive rights cases to ever reach the highest Court in the land. The decision in Dobbs could unravel Roe v. Wade and trigger abortion bans in 26 states.

It never should have gotten to this crisis point. One single decision by the Supreme Court should not have the power to force reproductive rights back 50 years -- and it still doesn't have to.

Regardless of the Court's decision in this case, Congress has the power to protect reproductive freedom. The House took action earlier this year by passing the Women's Health Protection Act, and now the Senate must do the same. Sign on if you agree >>

In Dobbs v. Jackson, the State of Mississippi has explicitly asked the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. If they do, nearly half the people of reproductive age in America could lose access to abortion overnight.

Derek has always been guided by the principle that decisions about health care should only be made between a person and their doctor -- not in the White House, United States Capitol, or in the Supreme Court. So Derek is working to defend the right to choose and ensure people are able to get the care they need -- no matter who they are or where they live.

We can't just wait around and hope the Supreme Court makes the right decision in this case. We all need to take action to protect abortion access.

Will you add your name next to Derek's today to demand the Senate pass the Women's Health Protection Act without delay? Reproductive freedom for millions of Americans is on the line.

Thank you,

Team Kilmer
