This morning the Supreme Court heard arguments on a Mississippi law that directly threatens Roe v. Wade . The decision to get an abortion is a deeply personal one. One that the government should not interfere with, but in the past several years we’ve seen conservatives increase the obstacles to reproductive freedom.
From shutting down abortion clinics, to shortening the window that one can get an abortion, to setting neighbors against one another, the attacks show no sign of slowing down.
The path to defend and restore abortion rights isn’t going to be easy, John. If the Supreme Court overturns Roe in this decision, GOP-held legislatures across the country will pass laws banning abortions — and you can count on me to fight Pennsylvania’s Republicans at every step.
I am a staunch advocate for abortion rights and I’ll continue to fight while I’m in the General Assembly and as Pennsylvania’s next Lt. Governor.
