A Defining Moment

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health Organization, a case about Mississippi's law that bans abortions after 15 weeks. This is the first direct challenge to Roe v. Wade in 30 years. If overturned, abortion will be illegal in Texas.

This is a defining moment in our nation's history and gives the court a chance to reaffirm our God-given right to life.

Texas stands for life, and I pray our nation's highest court will as well.

Three months ago, the Texas Senate passed Senate Bill 8, landmark legislation solidifying our commitment to protecting the lives of little Texans. Most Texas voters support the Heartbeat Act, which bans abortions once a heartbeat is detected. We also passed a preemptive bill that will immediately outlaw abortions if Roe v. Wade is overturned.

Since it took effect, the Heartbeat Act has reduced abortions by 50 percent — saving 150 babies a day!

In Texas, we are turning conservative policy into conservative legislation. The Democrats are trying to defeat me at the ballot box because of this. The Democrats will stop at nothing to defeat me in 2022. I hope I can count on your financial support of $5-10-25 or more today.
