Friend,
If you didn’t already know, the Maryland General Assembly will meet one more time before the end of the year in a special session from December 6-10. Here’s your rundown of the upcoming session, what to expect from the chambers, and a few ways to keep up with all the action in Annapolis!
The General Assembly will address at least three things next week:
- Redistricting of Maryland’s congressional map
- Overriding several Hogan vetoes from earlier this year
- Voting on a new state treasurer. For more information about the candidates, see this article from Maryland Matters.
You can read more about what’s expected from the special session from the Washington Post and Maryland Matters.
After the December special session ends, it’s only a month until the next full legislative session begins on January 12th, 2022.
