Today is my first day as president of the National Partnership for Women & Families, and I could not be more excited to get to work, especially when there is so much at stake.
This is a pivotal moment - a time when the needs of women of color and those experiencing the harshest disparities must take center stage in our nation's policy priorities.
Today is also a moment when the future of Roe v. Wade and the rights it guarantees are hanging on by a thread.
I just attended the Abortion is Essential Rally at the U.S. Supreme Court where the decidedly conservative bench is hearing a case that could actually overturn Roe.

We are defending Roe with all our might, but we also recognize that the right to legal abortion has never been enough.
For too many people, Roe is a right on paper but not in practice - particularly for Black, Indigenous and People of Color, people with low incomes, and those in states with unjust restrictions. And this lack of access has devastating consequences for our health, well-being, economic security, and dignity.
There's never been a more urgent time to support abortion justice,

and that's why we are keeping our Giving Tuesday partnership with the National Network of Abortion Funds going for ONE MORE DAY.
Here's how the partnership works:
Every donation to the National Partnership will be split evenly with the National Network of Abortion Funds to help abortion funds nationwide support people in overcoming obstacles to abortion - barriers like travel and transportation costs.
Between NNAF's work on the ground and our work on the legislative front, our organizations are working to create a reality where abortion care is affordable, stigma-free and accessible for all - even if Roe is overturned.
