Senator Inhofe to Introduce Bill to Protect Preborn Babies with Down Syndrome

By: Brittany Raymer

In honor of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) has introduced the Down Syndrome Discrimination by Abortion Prohibition Act. This bill would help protect babies diagnosed with Down syndrome in the womb from being aborted simply because of the condition.

A piece of legislation like this cannot come soon enough. Abortion and prenatal diagnoses have had a devastating impact on the Down syndrome community.
It is estimated that at least 67% of all preborn babies diagnosed in the womb with the condition are aborted, but that statistic is likely wildly inaccurate.

In the United States, there is no requirement that abortion doctors report any of their abortion statistics, except in the cases of catastrophic complications (even then it’s questionable how often they report these issues).

CBS News Promotes Consensual Non-Monogamy in New Documentary
By: Zachary Mettler

Not content with the successful push to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide, CBS News has found the next battle it is preparing to fight. The legalization of consensual non-monogamy and polyamorous relationships.
In a new CBSN

Originals documentary, CBS News interviews several people who are involved in polyamorous relationships. This means that they are romantically involved with more than one person and are open and honest about it.

CBS News, making their intentions obvious, tweeted out the title of their article promoting the series: “Not just ‘one big orgy:’ Fighting the stigma of consensual non-monogamy.” Indeed, it seems the entire purpose of this documentary is to make polyamorous relationships seem completely normal and natural.

Judge Changes Mind, Reinstates Covington High School Teen’s Suit Against The Washington Post
By: Bruce Hausknecht

A young Kentucky teen will get a second chance to prove that The Washington Post defamed him over an incident at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. last January.

You may recall the story of Nicholas Sandmann, the 16-year-old teen from Covington High School in Park Hills, Kentucky, who, while attending the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. with his classmates, found himself face-to-face with a Native American protester who confronted him while beating a drum in his face.

The Washington Post and other media outlets raced to condemn Sandmann for what an edited video clip purportedly showed was a mocking and racist “smirk” on his face while wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat. Even his own school back in Kentucky jumped to conclusions and initially issued a statement condemning Sandmann and promised punishment for his actions.

By: Brittany Raymer

On Friday, Kanye West officially released his first Gospel album and, surprisingly, it is filled with Biblical references, Bible verses and one song features multiple references to Chick-fil-A and its fantastic lemonade.

Recently, The Daily Citizen wrote about Kanye’s turn towards Christianity and Sunday Services while expressing some reservation. Well, based on the songs from his latest album, there has clearly been a significant change in the artist’s walk with God.

“No Safe Spaces”: Documentary Exposes Intolerance on College Campuses

By: Jeff Johnston

No Safe Spaces, a documentary from Dennis Prager and Adam Carolla, opened in Phoenix last Friday, bringing in over $45,000 while showing on one screen. That’s the second-highest box office total for a documentary playing at one theater.

Prager and Carolla make an unlikely pairing, which the documentary spends some time showing who they are and events from their early lives.
