** Economic Democracy Weekly
------------------------------------------------------------
Today’s Economic Democracy Weekly examines the role local institutions play in achieving economic justice. In our ongoing community development leaders of color series, Lisa Rice of the Fair Housing Alliance writes about the need to embed fair housing principles in local institutions. A second article looks at how to enable people who are not wealthy to safely invest in their local communities rather than being restricted to Wall Street stocks and bonds. We also include an article on the growth and challenges faced by emerging co-op media. These issues will be explored in greater depth in our upcoming webinar on Information, Media, and Economic Justice.
