Dear John,

I hope you were able to spend time with your loved ones and get some much deserved rest. During this time of reflection and gratitude, I feel so honored to have friendship and support of so many San Diegans committed to improving our region at every level of local government.

It has been almost one month since I announced my campaign for Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk, and I have been humbled by the positive responses. To add to this momentum, a recent poll showed that we have a clear path to victory. However, we need the resources to communicate why I am more qualified to lead this Countywide office than our well funded opponent. Will you help me catch up to his fundraising lead?

I have also received a lot of questions about the responsibilities of the Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk, so I am going to start incorporating relevant trivia into our emails. Issuing marriage licenses is one key function of this office. How many licenses were issued in San Diego FY 2021 (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021). Please respond to this email with your answer. The first five people with the correct response will get a shout out in the next email.
