Yesterday, the team here at KOST 103.5 spent the day supporting
Children's Hospital Los Angeles and encouraging our listeners to get
involved in honor of Giving Tuesday.

I'm elated to report that over 1,300 members of our community pitched
in to support Children's Hospital Los Angeles in its efforts to
provide cutting-edge care for sick kids, but it looks like we haven't
heard from you yet.

On yesterday's show we got to hear so many stories about this
incredible institution that we're lucky to have in our backyard. It
warms my heart to think of everything that Children's Hospital Los
Angeles has been able to do in the past year with the support of this
community. Just take a look:

* Pioneered research to determine the safety and
efficacy of treating children for COVID-19 with existing
available therapeutics
* Expanded community food access initiatives in the Greater L.A.
area to reclaim more than 36,000 pounds of perishable food to
redistribute as more than 30,000 meals
* Developed a digital symptom-assessment tool for COVID-19 to
screen anyone coming into the hospital and flag any high-risk
individuals for further evaluation and testing

And so much more.
