Today, the Supreme Court will hear from Jackson Women's Health Organization, the last abortion provider in Mississippi. The organization has fought for years to stop the state's 15-week abortion ban. And this case is likely to determine the future of abortion rights in this country.

We don't know how the Supreme Court will rule. But we know that this ban is designed to put abortion out of reach -- just like S.B. 8 in Texas, just like abortion restrictions introduced in state legislatures across the country, just like the dozens of bans that will go into effect if Roe v. Wade is overturned. And we know that barriers to abortion fall hardest on Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities and folks with low incomes, who have never had equitable access under our discriminatory health care system.

That's true right now, no matter what the Supreme Court rules. There are pregnant people in states like Mississippi, Texas, and neighboring states who urgently need access to abortion.

That's why we want to lift up the work of local abortion funds that do whatever it takes to make sure patients get the immediate support they need -- providing information, arranging transportation and childcare, helping to pay medical bills, and more.

These front-line organizations are under incredible strain right now, as patients face more and more barriers to care.

Please, help rush immediate resources where they are most needed by making a gift directly to these abortion funds: Make your gift here and it will be split between Access Reproductive Care- Southeast, Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund, and The Yellowhammer Fund.
