Hey, True Texans!
Did you know True Texas Project has a program called TTP Squared?  It's a preppers group:  TTP Tactical Training & Preparation.  We don't know what tomorrow brings, but wisdom says to be prepared to take care of your family in all situations.  And we'll go one step further... community is required to thrive, not just survive, in an emergency situation.  Thus... TTP Squared!

We currently have one group for the 5 counties in the DFW Metroplex, plus we have another group that branched off of the first:  a gardening co-op.  We'd love to start TTP Squared in our other 10 locations as well.  We just need someone to step up and organize it!  Reply to this email if you're interested.  Meanwhile, check out the next meetings for DFW...

Serving with you,

TTP Squared December Meeting
Picture this: A major rainstorm on one late afternoon in January causes huge traffic crashes all over town, tangling city emergency services. Temperatures drop and the rain turns to ice, making road traffic even more dangerous.

Your children are bored and begin chasing each other around the house. One slips and splits his head open on the edge of the door. Meanwhile, your spouse just drove up after work, steps out of the car and slips on the icy driveway, cracking a rib.

Or how about this: Your wife is carving the turkey with an electric knife and accidentally carves her hand instead. Meanwhile, your Aunt Nellie, who couldn't wait for the turkey, starts eating her steamed broccoli and begins choking.

Do you know enough emergency first aid to help your family with these types of situations when 911 calls take an hour or more for response and weather prevents a trip to a clinic?  You will if you attend the Dec. 3 meeting of TTP Squared!

Garden Growers Co-op December Meeting
Garden Growers Co-op is meant to help patriots localize our food supply, an important part of emergency preparedness.

Did you know we can grow food all year round in North Texas? Check out this winter garden plan, provided by The Dallas Garden School, for vegetables (and flowers) that you can plant confidently November through February.

We will be discussing our experience with doing just that, and why it's important for food freedom to develop new gardening skills so you can provide for your family even through the coldest months.

Diane Velasco will demonstrate how to turn ordinary yard debris--small branches and all those fallen leaves--into mulch in minutes to save money and protect your garden through winter. She will also give ideas on how to set up a makeshift greenhouse or cold frame to protect your favorite fruit and vegetables.

Also, let's have a holiday seed or seedling swap! Bring yours, either store-bought or home grown and go home with a new plant or seeds you haven't tried yet!

When: Sat, Dec 4, 3:00-4:30pm
Where: 7413 Steward Lane, North Richland Hills
RSVP:  [email protected]
