Liliana Bakhtiari just won her runoff campaign, OFFICIALLY making history as the first out LGBTQ Muslim elected in Georgia! When they take office, they’ll also be the only non-binary person serving on a the city council of a major U.S. city!

This is a huge milestone for Georgia, and we're so proud of Liliana for running such a great campaign. They'll join a growing number of LGBTQ legislators who are defending LGBTQ rights in the Peach state. Now more than ever, we need out voices who are ready and willing to fight for trans kids, ensure equal access to the ballot and restore reproductive freedom.
