I know my team and I have been in touch a lot this week, so before I ask you to help us close our $6,132 fundraising gap before tonight's deadline, let me explain why it's important, especially right now.

This month, Democrats in Washington passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework (BIF), which invests more than a trillion dollars to improve lives for working families across the country. Now they're working to pass the Build Back Better Act.

Predictably, Kevin McCarthy tried to block it. He went on an eight hour tirade on the House floor to delay the vote and pander to far-right mega-donors. While the length of his speech made the news -- the real news was his "NO" vote on everything from universal pre-K to reduced prescription drug prices. These proposals would make a real improvement in peoples' lives especially here in the Central Valley.

I'm fighting like hell to get McCarthy out of office, and I know that there are thousands with me. In order to reach more of them and give Kevin the boot, I really need to meet this goal.
