It’s time to choose our Local Officers (Steering Committee, YDSA Coordinator) and Branch Coordinators! The nomination period for these offices will end at 11:59 pm on Sunday, December 5th, 2021.
After the nomination period, save these dates:
- Candidate Forum and Voting begins Monday, December 13th. The time has not yet been set, but will be announced later this week. This forum will be conducted on Zoom.
- Voting closes Monday, December 20th at 11:59 PM.
- Winners will be announced December 21st once all votes are counted!
As outlined in the resolution text, our Childcare 4 All Priority Resolution working group has 2 co-chair positions that will be filled by chapter-wide election. We've added these positions to our nomination form and members in good standing have the opportunity to nominate themselves for these positions! If you are a candidate answering the public statement questions, please answer all questions in accordance with the prompts and provide your answers to the last three questions of the Public Candidate Statement as it relates to the Childcare 4 All campaign, rather than the Local. We look forward to receiving nominees until 11:59 PM December 5th, when the nominations period will close.
If you are a member of DSA in good standing, who has joined prior to July 2021, and you've been looking to lead, nominate yourself! Here’s the nomination form to get started: https://forms.gle/KTfKnVsFSpBgcWJs9.

Thursday, December 2 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Westside comrades – join organizers for a phonebank dedicated to reaching out to comrades who joined our organization at the end of 2020. We’ll be checking in with members to share our chapter’s program for 2022 (campaigns for Universal Childcare, a Green New Deal for Public Schools, and more), and asking them to renew their membership dues to commit to another year of struggle together. ✊
If you’ve never phonebanked before, no worries! This hosted phonebank is a great way to get involved in our branch’s work, and there will be time built in to walk comrades through the script and the overall process, step-by-step.
