John - Matthew and Thomas here, Cheri’s twins. Today is our birthday, so will you indulge us for a minute while we talk about our mom?

She is our rock — our biggest champion and always there to care for us.

Here we are with our mom — Matthew on the left and Thomas on the right.

She taught us the same values our grandma taught her at a young age — hard work, faith and a commitment to service. Every day for as long as either of us can remember, she’s gotten up to go to work for the people of our state — fighting for justice and fairness.

And she’s so much more than a trailblazing leader and public servant. She’s a great mom. She is someone who lives life fully, from her love of dance to our family’s midnight tennis games...

She’s also the most compassionate person we know. And that kind of compassion is sorely missed right now in the U.S. Senate.

So, here’s our birthday wish: Our mom has an important fundraising deadline at midnight tonight, and she needs folks like you to pitch in to reach her campaign’s goal.
