This month, we passed a bill to put $1 trillion into fixing our nation’s infrastructure AND passed the Build Back Better Act — two pieces of legislation that will make measurable improvements to the lives of everyday Americans. Republicans on the other hand...they’ve got it all backwards. Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy gave a record-breaking eight-hour filibuster-style speech to stop the Build Back Better Act from passing — a bill that provides universal pre-K for our kids, invests in fighting climate change, and lowers prescription drug costs. Americans need tangible solutions to the obstacles they face on a daily basis — NOT political posturing, filibuster-style speeches, or publicity stunts.
