John, more than 300 people have stepped up today to help us close our fundraising gap before midnight. But we’re still behind. |
Here’s the email we sent just a bit earlier updating folks on our progress to goal this month:
John,
While the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has broken multiple fundraising records this year, we’re experiencing a period of slow fundraising. We’re $8,000 behind what we need to raise before midnight tonight to meet our November fundraising goal.
Our average contribution this month was $16.31 because we are powered by people, not corporate interests. But with record-breaking fundraising numbers, the political establishment has shown that they aren’t slowing down, and neither can we.
If you are with us in the fight to grow our progressive coalition in Congress, will you chip in $16.31? Every dollar gets us closer to meeting our fundraising goal.
The DCCC raises money from Wall Street and corporate PACs to recruit corporate candidates and protect incumbents, while we rely on grassroots contributions to help elect working-class candidates fighting for progressive change.
We can’t let the status quo win. Not with so much on the line in the fight to pass Medicare for All, win a Green New Deal, and expand our coalition in Congress.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
