President Trump has made it abundantly clear: Flipping Minnesota red in 2020 is a core strategic goal of his re-election campaign.

He knows that if he is successful in making up the 1.5 points he lost by here in 2016, he’ll almost certainly be re-elected. To do it, he’s planning to spend unprecedented sums of money to amplify his divisive message across our state on a scale we’ve never seen before.

I know Minnesotans will reject the politics of fear and division in favor of a brighter vision for the future of our state, just like we did in 2018, but it’s going to take all of us working together to get it done.

The President’s obsession with Minnesota doesn’t just threaten our chances at taking back the White House, it will be a drag on every DFLer on the ballot if we don’t defend them.

Election Day 2020 is exactly one year from this coming Sunday, November 3rd, and the Minnesota DFL needs to raise $10,000 by then in order to enter the one year stretch at full capacity. Their work is absolutely critical and it’s only possible with your support. That’s why today I wanted to reach out personally to ask:

Will you make a contribution of $5 or more to the DFL so they can keep fighting for our One Minnesota allies up and down the ballot?

If you haven’t already this year, you can use Minnesota’s Political Contribution Refund program to have your donation today refunded up to $50 (or $100 for couples). It’s a good deal and I encourage you to take advantage of it.

The DFL helped us build one of the strongest campaigns in state history in 2018. Now, as they prepare to fight back against the negativity President Trump will be bringing to our state next year, they need our help.

Make sure they can make the investments we all need to protect our Minnesota House DFL Majority, take back the Minnesota Senate, re-elect Senator Tina Smith, and keep Minnesota blue in 2020. Please make a contribution to the Minnesota DFL that works for you by Sunday, November 3rd.
