John – I'm running to our next finance meeting, so I don't have a lot of time, but I'm reaching out to give you an urgent update on this campaign:

Trump-style Republicans have been lining up to replace Gov. Lujan Grisham, and they're attacking her leadership right out of the gate.

There's a special legislative session coming up in a few days, which means we won't be able to fundraise for a few months.

We're heading into 2022 – Gov. Lujan Grisham's reelection year – with whatever we raise this week, and we're still behind on our goal.

If we fail to reach our goal tonight, I'm worried that we won't have enough money to protect Gov. Lujan Grisham from GOP attacks – and there's nothing we can do to build resources once we reach the fundraising blackout period.
