I’ll be brief today – we need your help.
Today is Giving Tuesday, when Americans typically donate to the nonprofit organizations doing work that they support.
As we send you this message, we’re approximately $17,000 short of our $100,000 goal for our Giving Tuesday campaign – and time is running short.
A lot of people have been emailing you on our behalf – board members Kathleen Turner and Alyssa Milano, as well as our founder Norman Lear. We would not be emailing you so much if a successful Giving Tuesday campaign wasn’t so crucial to our work.
This Giving Tuesday, Give to Save Our Democracy
We plan to keep fighting to guarantee fundamental voting rights for all Americans, including passage of the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
We plan to keep exposing and disrupting the Far Right and their attempts to subvert our democracy and divide Americans with hate.
We plan to keep pushing to restore a balanced judiciary that delivers justice for all Americans, not just the wealthy and well-connected.
But as a grassroots-funded organization, we just can’t do those things without your financial support.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that 2022 will be a make-or-break one for our democracy. One year from now we could be looking at the possibility of Mitch McConnell becoming Senate Majority Leader, and far-right extremists like Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar assuming control of key House committees. So please give generously to People For TODAY.
